Dispatch & Deliveries Policy

Our Dispatch & Deliveries policy outlines the conditions and procedures by which we sell products, and forms part of our terms and conditions. All customer orders are subject to this dispatch and delivery policy.

Please note: Separate rules and procedures apply to Unrestricted/General Products and to Restricted Products

Disclaimer: You must be 18 years of age or over to order any ammunition/knives from this site. You must also hold the appropriate permit / firearms license relevant for your state for any ammunition.

Restricted Items - Pickup Only

Parkland Industries Pty Ltd trading as OzGunMart is based in Sydney NSW and operates under NSW Law. We sell a wide variety of products, including restricted and unrestricted products.

Restricted products are those that are restricted by law to sale only to Holders of a Firearms License - NSW (or interstate equivalent) and/or products that are classified as "dangerous goods" and have shipping restrictions applicable under either law or under Australia Post policies. Items that fall into either or both categories are pickup only and no shipping or postage is available. Applicable shipping options will be shown at checkout. We reserve the right to apply the relevant legal restrictions in the unlikely case where any website error or omission causes the display of an incorrect shipping option.

Orders which include restricted items can be placed online, but delivery is via Pickup Only, with no postage avaiable. These products must be collected from our Sydney Warehouse at Unit 6, 2A Madeline Street, Strathfield South, NSW, 2136, Australia. Please wait until you receive your notification email to advise your order is ready for collection, before attending our premises.

For the avoidance of all doubt: All Ammunition, Gunpowder and any other items that are explosive or restricted for purchase by Firearms License Holders may only be picked up from our Sydney address, and are never shipped under any circumstances.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure they have the relevant license in place for the particular products they are purchasing, prior to placing their order. Any orders placed by persons who are not legally allowed to purchase the items will be cancelled at our full discretion, and a 10% restocking fee will apply. Customers must attend in person and present their license when collecting their order. Collections on behalf of third parties are only permitted if they also have the relevant license in place for the particular products as the purchaser and an email has been sent in advance with all the required information.  Collections by unlicensed third parties are strictly not permitted under any circumstances.

Unrestricted Items - Delivery Policy

Once an order is placed via the OzGunMart online store, you will receive email updates at each step of the dispatch and delivery process to keep you up to date with the progress of your order.

Stocked Products

Items that are stocked in our warehouse will generally be dispatched within one to two business days following your order. We will use reasonable endeavours to show the correct available stock levels, however out of stocks will occur from time to time and for a number of reasons. We will use reasonable endeavours to source out-of-stock product from suppliers as soon as reasonably practical, which may result in delays on some occasions.

Non Stocked Products

Due to the nature of some products being very specific in purpose or application, not all products are stocked by us, but may be available from our wholesale partners. Any items which are physically located at our suppliers warehouse at the time of your order will be clearly shown on the product page. Such products are transferred from our supplier to our warehouse, and dispatched directly from us. This process does not require any additional input from the customer, however and additional 2-5 business days will occur prior to dispatch.

Shipping & Handling Charges
The price of your products ordered does not include shipping or handling charges. These are added at the checkout, or in some cases where a particular product requires specialised transportation, a quote for dispatch will be arranged and you will be advised of these additional fees. Shipping and handling costs, minimum invoice values and any other additional charges (if applicable) will be added at the checkout and you will be asked to confirm the order, including all additional charges. We reserve the right to vary stated charges where errors have occurred or where a customer's delivery address has delivery limitations. In the rare occasion that this occurs, the buyer will be provided with the opportunity to continue with the order or to cancel the order for a full refund.

Estimated Dispatch Times
We will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch all orders within 1-2 business days where products ordered are stocked in our OzGunMart warehouse. For products that are non –stocked products, we will use our reasonable endeavours to dispatch products within 1 business day of the products arriving at our warehouse after being ordered from our supplier. In most cases, this will be within 5 business days but delay may occur. Where there are extended delays we will endeavour to communicate this individually to each customer.

Transit Times
Whilst we will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch orders within the above timeframes, transit times will vary depending on the address location. Due to geographical circumstances, some locations may take longer to receive deliveries. Transit times are primarily controlled by Australia Post and our other delivery partners. We will liaise with our freight and postage suppliers on your behalf but do not have full control over delivery times by third party contractors.

We use several carriers for deliveries depending on the customer’s location. Some carriers use a signed consignment note system and will not leave parcels unsigned for at a delivery address. Deliveries left unattended at your address at your request are your responsibility. You accept that we will not be liable to replace the product in these circumstances. You may receive your order in one complete delivery or in multiple deliveries.

Dispatch Delays

In some circumstances, dispatch of your order may be delayed. The following sets out some of the common reasons for dispatch delays:

  • If items are on backorder from a supplier especially items that are non-stocked products or in transit from overseas;
  • If a supplier is unable to receive an order for whatever reason;
  • During public holidays or periods of industry-wide shut-downs, such as Christmas and Easter;
  • If a customer’s account is on credit hold;
  • If any of the customer, order, dispatch or delivery details are incorrect;
  • If a transport company experiences issues during delivery; or
  • Acts of God.

Export Orders
Orders sent to international addresses may incur local taxes and import duties. These are entirely your responsibility and payable by you. These charges are not refundable by us in the event of a product return (unless required under Australian consumer laws) or credit request.
Subject to Australian consumer laws, any product approved for a return, must be returned at the senders expense. No charges for international shipments will be accepted by us.
